Ray joined Axium after a distinguished thirty-five year career with the FBI. Ray has led many investigations for both private and public companies during his five years at Axium, and clients benefit from the expertise he acquired over the course of his career.
Ray served as a Special Agent with the Chicago FBI Office for most of his career, where he primarily concentrated on white collar crime and public corruption. Over several years, Ray led the FBI team that successfully investigated and convicted more than seventy people in a probe of the Illinois Secretary of State’s office, including a former Governor and his Chief of Staff. Ray was the case agent on numerous other high profile investigations of public officials including a local Mayor and local Chief of Police. Ray’s outstanding work in Chicago earned him recognition as part of a group that received the United States Department of Justice Director’s Award and as the Kane County Officer of the Year Award.
Before Chicago, Ray served with the FBI in New York where he focused on Organized Crime matters and Labor Racketeering. Upon retiring from the FBI and prior to joining Axium, Ray investigated health care fraud and internal employee misconduct as a lead investigator for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.
